Personal Injury Protection (PIP) is an extension of car insurance available in some U.S. states to include California that covers medical expenses and, in some cases, lost wages and other damages.
If you have been in a car accident or involved in a major personal injury, let STOJANOVICH CHIROPRACTIC help you start on the road to recovery. We offer personal injury chiropractic care and will work with you to file the necessary insurance claims needed. You are already dealing with the added stress of an injury and possible trauma from your accident. We want your focus to be on your recovery and receiving personalized treatment rather than worrying about dealing with the formalities of your case.
It is best to schedule a diagnostic appointment with us as soon as possible after an auto injury or accident. Even if there are no immediate symptoms, some may occur a few days or weeks after an accident. Also, the pain and severity of the injury may increase if you wait too long to receive a diagnosis and treatment. Some insurance providers will not cover medical claims if you fail to seek medical help within 48 hours.
Once we determine the extent of your injury from your accident, you will receive personal injury chiropractic care as well as customized exercises to do to help ease pain and correct the injury. We will work with you to develop a tailored treatment plan and determine how long it will take for you to recover from your injury.
Our billing team has over 35 years of experience filing insurance claims. We will file insurance claims to the automobile carrier. We can also provide the necessary records to the insurance company in case litigation is necessary.
Whiplash is one of the most common auto injuries and entails damage to the soft tissues of the neck. Many people think whiplash only occurs in high speed or potentially fatal accidents. However, whiplash can occur from accidents as slow as 5 mph. The symptoms may present themselves a few days or even weeks after the injury, yet waiting until the onset of symptoms to receive treatment can greatly interfere the speed and ease of your recovery.
Symptoms of whiplash can include:
- severe headaches
- arm pain (due to a possible herniated disc)
- low back pain
- neck aches
In extreme cases of whiplash, symptoms can include depression, and insomnia.
The quicker you receive treatment for your injuries, the easier your full recovery will be. Don’t wait to start your path to healing and contact STOJANOVICH CHIROPTACTIC today to get answers to your questions.
Let our healing hands help you recover from the pain of an auto or personal injury today.
PIP is a mandatory coverage in some states. PIP coverage may vary from state to state in terms of both what is covered and what types of treatments are considered customary and reasonable.
California allows for Chiropractic treatment in most plans.
Worker Comp Injury
Workers’ (workman’s) compensation Injury / New Injury and or Future Medical Care.
Workers’ compensation is a form of insurance providing wage replacement and medical benefits to employees injured in the course of employment in exchange for mandatory relinquishment of the employee’s right to sue his or her employer for the Tort of negligence.
If you have been injured in a Workers’ Compensation Accident and would like to receive Chiropractic care at our Walnut Creek office, call our office and our staff will help in getting you through the authorization process.
Once approved, we start with a review of the medical record to see what was recommended by the Primary Treating Physician. The focus of the review will be to identify, if any, appreciable differences between the recommended future medical treatment set forth by the AME or QME. If so, what is the explanation for the discrepancy or interpretation?
The process can be difficult for you as the injured as you may not know what your rights are. Injuries can be acquired due to the level of your job, meaning, they can happen over time due to small injuries compounding to a bigger trauma. This is called, ACQUIRED OUT OF EMPLOYMENT (AOE), or CAUSED OUT OF EMPLOYMENT (COE), or from a traumatic injury due to your employment. You may have heard of something called, Repetitive Motion Injuries. Either way, if you are confused about the rules of a Worker’s Compensation Injury, we can help sort through the difficulty of knowing how to pursue immediate care for your injury.
Another confusing aspect of the Workers’ compensation process is the “Future Medical Care” offering. Are you Entitled to Future Care? Were you awarded this as part of your Permanent and Stationary Report? We can review this with you and provide you with the pain relief and the immediate care neccessary.
If you have received an injury or have been awarded “Future Medical Care” for a Worker’s Compensation injury and would like to receive Chiropractic Care for your disability and pain, please call our Walnut Creek Chiropractic Office at (925) 930-0224 for a thorough evaluation. We have 33 years of Workers’ Compensation experience and can help!
